Deepak Kumar Garg is an accomplished Engineering Manager at Radisys Corporation, Device Engineering Group, with over 12 years of relevant experience in the software development industry. He is proficient in various levels of product development, including requirement gathering, analysis, design, development, system testing, and documentation. Deepak has excellent team and people management skills and a deep understanding of agile software development principles and best practices. He is strong in algorithms, software architecture, and design. At Radisys, Deepak has worked on developing an operating system based on Android and Mozilla B2G OS. He has also worked on React/Enact Framework-based PWAs for this new web OS. Deepak has developed native apps like Settings, Phone, First time user setup, FM Radio, Notes, Ringtones, Network Alerts, Bluetooth, Memory Saver, Quick Settings for both keypad and touch-based devices from scratch. He has also worked on System UI parts like Lock Screen, Status bar, Emergency Call. Deepak has gained deep knowledge of implementing all user cases for connectivity, multimedia, and telephony services on an OS like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Call Settings, ringtones, sounds, notifications, etc. He has customized the Gecko layer of Mozilla B2G to upgrade and provide new features like memory cleaner, enabling device capabilities on lightweight, Rich UI, cross applications. Deepak has worked in an Agile environment and played the role of Scrum master. He has led a team of 10 engineers to achieve all short-term and long-term goals successfully. Deepak has helped and mentored the team to surface ideas, brainstorming, and finally implementing them to the production. He has also participated in a Codeathon event at the company level to implement an automated solution to localize all the apps in their Web OS without any developer effort and close to zero errors and come out as department winners. Finally, he has put this idea into production, helping to significantly save on developer and testing bandwidth. Before Radisys, Deepak has worked as a Software Development Engineer 3 at Urban Company, where he was part of the Partner Tech Team. He has also worked as a Chief Engineer at Oppo Mobiles R&D India, where he was part of the Application Framework team and Research work on new ideas for Oppo phones. Deepak holds a B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Kurukshetra University and a Senior Secondary degree in Non-medical from Central Senior Secondary
